Turret Set Up ā 2nd Shift
Assurance Manufacturing is an employee-owned precision sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, and assembly company that operates in a modern manufacturing facility. We are looking for a Turret Set Up ā 2nd Shift in our Coon Rapids facility.

Turret Set-up Responsibilities:
- Set up turret tooling using job cards, setup sheets and or load sheets.
- Ensure that proper material is being used and check the first piece.
- Deburr, denib, file, edge, and timesave parts when required.
- Make adjustments and perform minor maintenance on machines as needed.
- Follow directions given by the team leader and/or supervisor.
- Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact material handler if supplies are needed.
- Follow job routings and ISO procedures including Control of Nonconforming Product.
- Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
- Follow work order procedures and routings; gather required tools and materials based on instructions, drawings, and specifications provided for the job.
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment, tooling and the work area per standard 5S practices.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Follow procedures in relation to inspection of parts.
- Crosstrain in other areas of the plant as necessary to meet production demands.
- Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Turret Set-up Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience required.
- Knowledge of proper turret function and operation required.
- Ability to operate hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand written English.
- Basic understanding of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
- Ability to measure parts with calipers and micrometers.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range well enough to safely and adequately be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to wear gloves and ear protection.
