Behavioral Health Practitioner I (BHP I)
Pay Rates:
- Base rate of $22.00 an hour plus shift differential of $0.50 for working weekends
- Base rate of $22.00 an hour plus shift differential of $1.00 work working overnights
Open Schedules:
 Fridley:
- Every other weekend - Saturdays and Sundays 8:00am to 4:00pm
Bloomington:
- Every weekend - Saturdays and Sundays 3:00pm to 11:00pm
TMH’s Behavioral Health Practitioners (BHP’s) provide support to clients in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) programs.
Behavioral Health Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Establish supportive and motivational relationships with residents
- Coach residents to utilize coping strategies and de-escalate crises
- Administer medications to residents
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents
- Support the cleanliness of common areas
- Ensure residents follow safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other staff members and interns
Behavioral Health Practitioner Requirements:
- Must have one to two years of experience, education, or combination in behavioral health, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, or related area.
- Must meet definition of Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Worker or Behavioral Health Practitioner per Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
