Duties and Responsibilities:Â Â
Provides leadership in the development, training, execution, and verification/validation of all quality systemsÂ
Ensures compliance to all regulatory, customer, and corporate programs.  Leads and participates in regulatory, customer, and internal audits.  Provides leadership in the development, training and maintenance of the plant Food Safety and Quality programsÂ
Act as the primary contact for internal and external customers and investigate consumer and customer complaints while providing written communication regarding the findingsÂ
Responsible for developing and monitoring plant sanitation and product safety programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supply; lead teams through product recall management processÂ
Provides leadership to help ensure a safe work environment throughout the plant.  Adheres to all safety policies and proceduresÂ
Coordinate the activities of engineers and contractors in complying with GMP’s during construction activitiesÂ
Work with vendors to correct noncompliance issues concerning ingredients and suppliesÂ
Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Programs, along with proactively identifying and executing all continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation. Â
Participates and supports all Quality and Safety audits and annual certifications, including internal audits and paperwork complianceÂ

Education and Experience Required:Â
Must have a bachelor’s Degree in food related field. (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.)   Â
Must have 3+ years’ experience in a lead role or management position in a manufacturing environment.Â

Comprehensive knowledge of GFSI standardsÂ
Demonstrated problem solver with ability to implement effective solutions.Â
Previous experience designing and deploying training programsÂ
Effective management and supervisory skillsÂ
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English language.Â
Strong organizational skillsÂ
Strategic planning skillsÂ
High level of accuracy and attention to detailÂ
PCQI CertificationÂ
HACCP Certification Â
