Human Resources Administrative Assistant
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Type: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week
Hours: TBD Days, Mondays are key administrative days
Location(s): Hybrid - in office in Minneapolis and remote
Compensation: $18- $24 per hour

Job Summary
The HR Admin Assistant supports HR functions by maintaining accurate records, ensuring HR processes are carried out accurately and efficiently, and assisting with recruitment efforts. This role supports onboarding, HR systems updates, compliance, and employee needs. Candidates with experience in the Human Services fields are strongly urged to apply. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and Administration while working a flexible part-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support onboarding and new hire paperwork
- Assist with employee file management and training/compliance documentation
- Provide administrative support for recruiting and training
- Maintain HRIS data assisting with occasional audits
- Assist with employee communications around benefits, employment verifications, and general employee inquiries
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Help with general HR tasks and projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree/career in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or currently pursuing a degree/career in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or comparable experience.
- 1 year of HR, administrative, or office experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Experience with HRIS systems, Google Suite, a plus
- Experience with the Human Services industry a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move office materials or equipment as needed
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended period of time.
- Job requires employee to bend forward by bending forward at the waist, or by bending the legs and spine.
- Extended periods of computer work, typing, and phone/virtual meeting communication
