Job Title: Special Education Teacher - remainder of current school year
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55423
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM


Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join a charter school team in Richfield, MN as soon as possible. This role focuses on supporting elementary students in a Federal Setting II classroom, providing both case management and direct instruction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as case manager for a small caseload (currently 4 students; may increase)

  • Provide specialized instruction to 3rd and 4th grade students in a Federal Setting II classroom

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines

  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, associate educators, and related service providers

  • Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation

  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings


Student Population:

  • Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)


Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs preferred

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to student growth and inclusive practices
