Warehouse Associate

Midwest Valve Services, a Novaspect Holdings Company, is currently offering an opportunity for a Warehouse Associate to join our fast paced, customer-oriented environment in our Minooka IL location. The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping, receiving and maintaining inventory in the Minooka facility. 

Warehouse Associate Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Records receipt, shipment, and any needed documentation of products within the Novaspect business systems and via shipping tickets or other measures as a part of the shipping and receiving process.
• Schedules pick-up & deliveries.
• Identifies parts and components necessary to complete repair work orders for the repair shop.
• Drives company vehicles to pick-up and deliver products, parts, and equipment to local customer sites as needed.
• Maintains and organizes all shipping, receiving and storage areas.
• Works with Account Coordinators and Application Engineers to resolve customer issues.
• Works with the repair shop team on other assignments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Associate Qualifications:                                                             

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with UPS and/or FedEx shipping software helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and conscientious nature.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools required and ability to follow Safety guidelines.
• Ability and strong desire to lead by example, as well as work well with others
• High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems.
• Forklift and bridge crane experience required. Forklift certification desired.

Warehouse Associate Additional Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to be insured by company insurance.
• Ability to maintain positive work relationships with co-workers.
• Ability to maintain good customer relations and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Warehouse Associate Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to carry cumbersome objects
• Ability to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on hands and knees
• Ability to work on a computer
• Ability to work in a loud industrial environment
• To work with hand tools
• Must be able to efficiently use a dolly and/or pallet jack
• Ability to drive company vehicle and forklifts
• Ability to drive up to 4 hours at a time

Warehouse Associate Technician Pay:

• Hourly Rate: $20 - $23
• Eligible for overtime
