Magnolia Foods LLC is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team for our Mira Loma, CA 91752 location.

About the Role:

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the food manufacturing process and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be expected to manage a team of production workers and ensure that they meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards. Your goal will be to ensure that the production process is optimized to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.   The Production Manager is responsible for maintaining the plant, machinery and its surroundings in compliance with Safety Quality Food Institute and Food Safety Procedures; Ensure enforcement of safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.
  • Manage and supervise production workers to ensure that they are meeting production targets and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and ensure team members follow proper protocols to minimize workplace hazards and incidents
  • Lead and support production teams, providing training and performance management.
  • To ensure an accurate month-end inventory count, dedicate one Saturday at the end of the month to assist with the process. Focus on verifying stock levels, addressing discrepancies, and maintaining precise records for reporting.
  • Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance, logistics, procurement to ensure that production is aligned with customer demand and delivery schedules.
  • Assist with investigations pertaining to contamination incidents and employee-related concerns, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions are taken.
  • Refine and maintain training documents to ensure they are up to date, accurate, and effectively support employee development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for all production workers.
  • Provide solutions when operational or production challenges arise, working collaboratively with teams to resolve issues efficiently and prevent recurrence
  • All duties as assigned.

Skills:

As a Production Manager, you will need to have strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage your team and collaborate with other departments. You will also need to have a deep understanding of production processes and techniques, as well as the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency. Additionally, proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems will be beneficial in this role. Finally, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities to ensure that production targets are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering or related field preferred; or experience commensurate with a degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in management/supervisory role, Tortilla Industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes and techniques
  • Excellent communication in English & Spanish
  • Senior level leadership skills,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong knowledge of a data driven environment
  • Ability to understand, create, and use data & KPI's  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning software
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced food manufacturing environment
