What You'll Do:

As a Host/Hostess at Hotel Effie's Ara Rooftop lounge you’ll be the face of our dining experience—welcoming guests with warmth, managing reservations, and ensuring every visitor feels like a VIP from the moment they arrive. You’ll be the liaison between our guests and the seamless service we pride ourselves on.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome
• Manage reservations, create waitlists, and provide accurate wait times
• Escort guests to tables and communicate server rotation to ensure smooth service
• Maintain a tidy and inviting front-of-house area
• Assist with bussing tables as needed to support the team
• Learn and describe menu items, specials, and restaurant offerings
• Collaborate with the team to manage guest flow during peak hours
• Complete opening/closing side work and general cleaning duties
• Offer outstanding customer service with a positive attitude and professional demeanor

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused personality
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous hosting or customer service experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Team player willing to assist in other roles when needed
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand and move for up to 8 hours at a time
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to bend, lift (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and perform repetitive motions
• Must be able to see, hear, and communicate clearly
