The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced professional accounting work, including overseeing transactional posting, tuition and fee revenue recognition, general ledger activity, financial analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role requires the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in evaluating financial data, resolving complex issues, and determining appropriate accounting treatment.
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oversee and review daily posting of transactional activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage and record tuition and fee transactions in accordance with institutional policies and accounting standards
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare, review, and analyze general ledger entries, ensuring appropriate classification and compliance with GAAP
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, investigating and resolving variances
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare financial reports and perform analytical reviews to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of concern
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Exercise independent judgment in evaluating financial transactions and determining proper accounting treatment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lead or significantly contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Review accounting transactions performed by others to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting by providing analysis and supporting documentation

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, apply accounting principles, and exercise independent judgment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
