Speech Language Pathologist, PRN

📍 Location: Mishawaka, IN

Join a compassionate and mission-driven team dedicated to helping patients regain communication and swallowing abilities. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll evaluate, treat, and support patients through personalized therapy plans, collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations tailored to patient diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with functional, measurable goals.
  • Deliver effective therapy interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, prognosis, and home exercises.
  • Monitor for adverse responses and modify treatment accordingly.
  • Plan and execute timely discharges with appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing.
  • Participate in team meetings, staffing's, and family conferences.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and make referrals as needed.
  • Provide guidance to rehab techs, volunteers, and students.
  • Support departmental initiatives including CARF, JCAHO, and performance improvement.
  • Attend and contribute to in-services and maintain required competencies.

What We’re Looking For

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Indiana
  • Current CPR certification

Experience:

  • Preferred: Clinical experience in a Speech Therapy setting
  • Acceptable: New graduates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Flexibility with treatment loads and schedules
  • Initiative, judgment, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to engage patients and families in therapeutic processes
