Under the general supervision of the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Resource Nurse, performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care as directed. Â Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) and participates in related continuing education.
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of EMT-1 Training program, or equivalent educ/experience
- Clinical experience.
- Coursework/Training: MOAB I / II within 30 to 150 days of hire.   Â
- Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License, orÂ
- Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, orÂ
- Upon hire: California Paramedic LicenseÂ
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationÂ
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
- Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical TechniciansÂ
- 1 year Patient care or clinical experience.
- Experience in an emergency room setting.
