Attends clerical station and performs clerical and reception duties; requisitions, maintains and orders supplies, equipment, and services as directed. Maintains the locked unit using the secure access camera device.  Enters admission, discharge and transfer information into the NICU log as required by CCS. Makes certain visitors are educated about hand washing when entering the unit. Provides written information to parents on arrival in the NICU as directed. Welcomes visitors in a positive manner.  With direction from Resource Nurse/Charge Nurse/Assistant Nurse Manager: assigns rooms and/or directs patients to the appropriate area. The position reports to the Nurse Manager.

Required qualifications:
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
- 2 years of Clerical experience.
- Hospital experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology Course or equivalent education/experience.
