- Experience w/ freight handling, POS system and/or processing inventory preferred

ABOUT THE POSITION
You are applying for a freight lead clerk position.The freight lead at Rockin Rudy’s are a part of the leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing the receiving, tracking, organization and processing of all main store freight. This role is the driving force behind inventory receiving and processing within the company. Some responsibilities of the Freight Lead include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as an advocate for Rockin Rudy’s and do everything possible to make our work environment one of openness, respect, and productivity.Â
- Be a model employee, exemplifying and leading by example.
- Supervision of freight processing, including delegation, redirection, coaching & recognition
- Handle all freight receiving, tracking & organization.Â
- Maintain communication with buyers managers & managers.
- Assist to ensure there is adequate staffing during high volume freight times
- Performs all new hire freight training
- Offer continued support and training to team members.
- Perform all Sales Clerk Duties:
- Greeting customers and creating a welcoming environment
- Processing customer transactions, returns/refunds, & exchanges
- Processing a variety of payment methods
- Maintaining a clean work environment, sales floor & displays
- Answering phones & customer inquiries
- Restocking and backstocking products
- Helping resolve customer complaints and/or disputes
- Working on projects in between customers and during down timeÂ
- Processing inventory (receiving, pricing & displaying)
- Embodying a collaborative work environment
ABOUT SCHEDULING
The Lead Freight Clerk position has a full time schedule of 4-5 days/week. Generally this will be a set schedule, however the ability to be flexible and adjust schedule seasonally is a must.Â
- Â Generally this will be a 9-5, M-F schedule with some seasonal schedule changes
- Â Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
ABOUT WAGES
All Leads start at $19.00/hour. Wages for the Lead Freight Clerk are based on a tenure based structure. Please see the chart below to review the pay range:
This position gets a 3% raise at 6 months and then an additional 3% at 1,820 hours worked and an additional increase for every 1,820* hours worked. Starting Wage $19.00/hr
6 months. $19.57/hr
1,820 hours. $20.16/hr
3,640 hours. $21.16/hr
5,460 hours. $22.22/hr
7,280 hours. $23.33/hr
9,100 hours. $24.50/hr
*each milestone is based on roughly 1 year working 35 hours/week
