Optimal’s mission is to reduce the cost of healthcare by providing efficient supply chain solutions.” Job Summary The Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for providing customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for initiating and/or implementing corrective action as needed to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are maintained by performing the following duties. Handle Customer Calls requesting ETA of items already on order. Handle customer requests for Tracking and Confirmation Information. Handle Customer Inventory and Pricing Inquiries. Contact customers to notify of cancellation of backordered items that become No Source. Run Reports out of the Company’s software program to review Open Order Status. Order Entry from customer’s faxed purchase orders or via phone orders. Part Allocation. Fax Order Confirmations to customers. Releasing orders that have been placed on hold. Issue Return Authorizations to customers for damages or shipping errors. Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsRequired Education Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Education can be substituted for Six months to one-year related experience and/or training. Required Experience 1-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Licenses and Certifications N/A. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic working knowledge of MS Office Suite of Programs. Basic Typing Skills. Acceptable level of telephone and communication skills as demonstrated in interviews. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
