We are seeking a Quotation Specialist who will report to the Senior Manager, Inside Sales MRO. The Quotation Specialist will be responsible for working with the marketing, pricing, engineering & sales teams to provide quotations to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages.  This position will be directly responsible for pricing implementation, strengthening overall service margin and lead day-to-day operations of the Quotations section. This position is also responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Review quotation backlog daily and pull RFQs for evaluation and execution per defined turnaround time targets per established KPI’s
  • Able to meet deadlines and work on numerous inquiries at the same time
  • Effectively implement established procedures and guidelines such as KOM, DOA meetings, Veltex surcharge, etc
  • Identify technical factors in customer inquiries that may affect cost, delivery and ability to conform.
  • Provide technical/commercial support, as required
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain the information needed
  • Reconcile purchase orders and handover to order execution team
  • Participate in resolving issues as they arise
  • Establish close relationship with all outside sales personnel as well as key customers and channel partners
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely response for each request


Your profile

  • College degree with a minimum of one-year related experience or high school degree with a minimum of five-years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Relevant experience in the valve industry an asset
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MS office, in particular Excel (data analysis, pivot table)
  • Experience with an ERP
  • Demonstrative experience in successful sales team collaboration
  • Understand qualification process
  • Keep the utmost respect and integrity while proving results oriented
  • Great at setting priorities to properly manage the time and expectation
  • Appropriately pursues business objectives with a bias for action and getting things done.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and handles complex, ambiguous or stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
  • Understands the need to process information and tasks quickly. Able to prioritize multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Needs to have an understanding or the proper knowledge to qualify the opportunities
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral. Ability to present at a senior leader level
