POSITION SUMMARY
The Lube Tech performs preventive maintenance, fueling, and minor repairs on pumps, belt lines, bearings, and other equipment around the plant site.  Key duties involve operating a service truck, conducting safety inspections, assisting mechanics, and maintaining accurate service records. You will work with other maintenance, field, mill, and packaging employees to ensure all equipment is properly lubed and serviced on a regular schedule.Â
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct oil changes, grease points, replace filters (oil, fuel, hydraulic), and top off all necessary fluids for large mobile mining equipmentÂ
- Carry out scheduled PM services, inspect components for wear, and identify potential issues to prevent costly downtimeÂ
- Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), follow all safety procedures, and maintain clean work areasÂ
- Complete service reports, logbooks, and work orders accurately, either on paper or electronicallyÂ
- Â Keep service trucks, pumps, and tools in good working orderÂ
- Perform additional duties as assignedÂ
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Valid Driver’s licenseÂ
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- OSHA 10HRÂ
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial work settingÂ
- Experience doing maintenance workÂ

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailÂ
- Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyÂ
- Knowledge of pumps, seals, packing, and bearingsÂ

- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions. • Ability to read alpha and numeric; ability to use simple math
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed outdoors in a non-temperature controlled environment. The employee:
- Is regularly required to lift heavy objects (50lbs <=) and work in confined spaces
- May have to work at heights at or above 100’ in a non-temperature-controlled environment and unpredictable weather conditions
- Is regularly exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise
- Is required to always wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Will frequently be standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching and grasping
- Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, work at heights on occasion, and perceive color differences
 SCHEDULE
- A 40 hour a week work schedule will be required
- Call outs and overtime are a necessary part of the job
