About the role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and advisory for our newly carved-out, private-equity-backed industrial company .This role oversees federal, state, local, and sales & use tax compliance across multiple US jurisdictions, manages transfer pricing documentation, and leads tax audits and regulatory inquiries. Partnering closely with Finance, Global Tax, Legal, and external advisors, the Tax Manager ensures accurate reporting, risk mitigation, and alignment with global tax policies while supporting the company’s broader tax strategy in a dynamic, transformation-driven environment.

About the department   

The Senior Tax manager will serve as a key person to the Global Tax Department, and his/her contribution to the overall finance team is critical to ensuring strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Your  Responsibilities :

Tax Compliance, Reporting & Accounting

  • Review and coordinate corporate income tax, state and local tax, and sales and use tax filings across multiple US jurisdictions (excluding employment taxes).
  • Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and global tax policies.
  • Support tax accounting, provisions, and documentation in coordination with Finance and Global Tax.

Transfer Pricing, Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance

  • Maintain US transfer pricing documentation in line with IRS regulations and US transfer pricing rules.
  • Support intercompany pricing implementation and ongoing compliance.
  • Monitor changes in US federal, state, and local tax legislation; assess impacts and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.

Tax Risk Management & Audits

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks in a dynamic, transformation-focused environment.
  • Lead and manage US tax audits and tax authority inquiries; prepare responses and model potential settlement outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with US tax authorities and external advisors.

Business Partnership, Process Improvement & Projects

  • Partner with regional Finance teams, Global Tax, Legal, and external advisors within a global matrix organization.
  • Provide practical tax guidance and training to Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of tax compliance and reporting.
  • Support carve-out, integration, restructuring, and other tax-related projects that drive value creation and financial discipline.

Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and managing US tax compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, federal, state, and local tax rules, including IRC Sections, IRS regulations, transfer pricing (Section 482), and key IRS forms and guidance.
  • Proven experience managing tax activities across North and South America.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Canadian GST knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in private-equity environments, carve-outs, or complex multinational transformations.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing/industrial environments (preferably cement, heavy industrial equipment, aftermarket spare parts, or EPC/service-driven businesses).
  • Demonstrated bias for action, working with sense of urgency to bring solutions to problems and clear objectives expeditiously.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous, high-change environments.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and collaborative mindset.
