Administrator Epic Systems

Responsible for the enterprise-level technical administration and configuration of the Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform across Infirmary Health (IH). Supports the stability, performance, and operational integrity of Epic environments through managing system-level configurations, coordinating environment migrations, upgrades, and maintaining enterprise configuration standards. Works closely with the Epic application teams, Epic Technical Services, infrastructure teams, and clinical informatics leadership to ensure the Epic platform operates reliably and efficiently across all environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or Health Information Management

3 of the most recent 5 years’ experience supporting Epic EHR systems through administration, updates, and configuration management

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Epic Certified in Operational Database Administration*

Epic Certified in Hyperspace Deployment Administration: Client Access to Hyperspace*

Epic Certified in Web and Server Administration: Hyperspace Web*

Epic Certified in Web and Server Administration: Interconnect*

Epic Certified in Web and Server Administration: Web BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Epic Print Service*

*Required within 12 months of placement into position

Desired Qualifications:

5 of the most recent 7 years’ experience supporting Epic EHR systems through administration, updates, and configuration management in a healthcare setting

Working knowledge of multi-hospital or enterprise healthcare IT environments

Working knowledge of Epic migrations and system-level change management

Working knowledge of InterSystems IRIS database technology

Working knowledge of Linus/Unix operating systems, shell scripting (Perk, awk, sed), and SQL
