Job DetailsJob Location: ALM-Coastal Alabama Area Command - Mobile, AL 36604Position Type: Full Time RegularEducation Level: Bachelor's DegreeSalary Range: $35,000.00 SalaryJob Category: MinisterialThis position is responsible for: Subscribes to, adheres to, and shares the Doctrines, Mission, and Positions of The Salvation Army. Serve as an evangelist to the community and constituency of the Corps. Develops and leads worship services and ministerial programs. Participates in providing assistance to people in need. Key Responsibilities: Serve the Corps by assisting the Corps Officer in planning, coordinating, administrating, monitoring, evaluating, and developing the day-to-day operations of the Corps Assists and partners with the Corps Officers in developing and conducting the Pastoral Care plan for Pathway of Hope. Maintains appropriate records and outcomes of the Pastoral Care plan per Pathway of Hope guidelines. Sets an example for the Corps by being a Salvationist in Good Standing and participating on a regular basis in Corps programs. May drive Salvation Army vehicle to transport Corps members to/from Corps programs Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Constant amount of physical effort required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time; rare to occasional amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting up to 30 lbs., pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching at least 30% of the work time. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires travel in order to conduct community and home visits. Bon-a-fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): This position requires an active, uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing.
