Responsibilities
Provides leadership to a healthcare team to maintain efficiency and patient safety, and to deliver comprehensive, quality patient care on a designated shift.Â
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Â
Graduate of accredited RN program
Â
Considerable professional knowledge, especially of assigned area
Â
Provide evidence of at least one-year previous Emergency Department or ICU experience as a staff nurse or completion of an Emergency Department educational program is required to be assigned to Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED)
Â
Â
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Â
BLS
- Current Alabama RN License
- Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Lincensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama
Â
Code Team participation is assigned to MICU, NICU, SICU, PACU, ED, CCU, Peds/PICU, and L&D/Nursery departments. Participation is expected after six months of hire following success completion of ACLS, PALS or NRP course as appropriate
Â
ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration.
Â
ACLS and PALS are required to be assigned/work Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED)
Â
