Maintenance Technician

SALARY RANGE: $14.00 - $16.38 HOURLY/DOE

SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, upkeep and repair of Grand River Casino & Resort property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Maintenance Technician performs inspections and maintenance of the building including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems, carpentry/construction, painting, etc. and general building repair, cleaning and upkeep. 
• He/she performs upkeep on grounds maintenance, snow removal of sidewalks and parking lot, planter/grass, sprinkler system and signage. 
• The Maintenance Technician maintains and services all casino vehicles. 
• He/she monitors the wastewater lagoons and septic systems at The Bay store, campground and fish cleaning station. 
• He/she assists in the training of new staff members and performs any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Director or Maintenance Lead.
• Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.

Qualifications

PREREQUISITES:

Must be 21 years of age or older.  Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal non-gaming license.  Must have 20/20 corrected vision. Must have a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION: 

High school graduate or GED. 

EXPERIENCE: 

Two years experience in maintenance preferred.

PHYSICAL: 

Must be physically able to withstand continued walking, standing, and kneeling for periods of 8 hours or more and be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to reach to higher levels.
