Job Summary

Technically manage an assigned Reicofil nonwovens manufacturing line (and potentially other equipment), and assigned special projects as a member of the Process Technology Team 

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to the Process Engineering Manager and ensures appropriate and frequent

 communication with the team in regard to safety, quality, process, equipment and other areas

  • Supports assigned manufacturing and auxiliary equipment
  • Identifies, troubleshoots and solves process and equipment related problems
  • Makes process and equipment changes online and assists other Process Technicians personnel as required
  • Prepares and submits technical and other documentation as assigned and appropriate
  • Provides training to Line Operators, Slitter Operators, etc., on assigned equipment
  • Demonstrates initiative to continuously improve assigned and other facility equipment, and related processes
  • Meeting the production line budget/KPI (output, PPU, FRY, Q3, and waste). Drive continuous improvement in KPI's    
  • Attends and contributes to morning production meetings and in other appropriate venues 
  • Quality - Ensures material quality by identifying non-conformance and reporting it timely
  • Safety - follows corporate and site safety procedures, utilizes materials, supplies and equipment per manufacturers' instructions, and maintains appropriate safety and health related training
  • Performs other duties 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, (or a GED) or equivalent experience is required.  
  • A two year associate's degree in a technical discipline is preferred as is experience with Microsoft Office and SAP software, and Cognex Vision systems.  
  • Additionally, he/she must be able to follow written and verbal procedures/ instructions, and possess good problem solving, basic math, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Employee must be able to work harmoniously, collaboratively and communicate well with co-workers, other site employees, vendors, customers, etc., while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude.  
  • In addition to working an established day, evening or night shift for forty hours during the week, the employee could be required to work additional hours during the week and must be available for consultation at any hour.  
  • Also, the employee will be on call or a back-up during the weekend per a rotation with the other Process Technicians (Required).  
  • Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a somewhat frequent basis

Work Environment:

Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection, hair/beard nets, safety glasses and safety shoes.  In addition, other PPE, such as burn jackets, splash shields, cut gloves, heat resistant gloves, etc., may be required.
