DirectthemanagerialfunctionsofourInfectionControl Program
AssurecompliancewithCMS,TJC,CDC,OSHA,andotherfederalandstatestandardsand guidelines.
Analyzehospitalinfectiondatatoidentifytrends,clusters,riskfactorsand variances.
Managehospitalpoliciesconsistentwithapplicableinfectioncontrolguidelinesand standards.
Performsurveillance,analysis,andreportingofhospital-acquired infections.
Educatestaffoninfectioncontrol protocols.
Serveasaknowledgeableandavailableresourceoninfectioncontrolpracticesand policies.
Developandmaintaininfectioncontrolstandardsmeetingregulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Currentlicenseorcertificationasamedicaltechnologist,clinicallaboratoryscientist, physician, or registered nurse.
Minimumofabachelor'sdegreeinahealthcare field.
1yearexperienceinaclinicalsettinginfieldof practice.
Preferred:CIC Certification.
Trainingininfectioncontroland/or epidemiology.
Preferred:experienceinhospitalinfectioncontrol practice.
Completedpost-secondaryeducationinahealth-relatedfieldincludingbutnotlimited to medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.
