- DirectthemanagerialfunctionsofourInfectionControl Program
- AssurecompliancewithCMS,TJC,CDC,OSHA,andotherfederalandstatestandardsand guidelines.
- Analyzehospitalinfectiondatatoidentifytrends,clusters,riskfactorsand variances.
- Managehospitalpoliciesconsistentwithapplicableinfectioncontrolguidelinesand standards.
- Performsurveillance,analysis,andreportingofhospital-acquired infections.
- Educatestaffoninfectioncontrol protocols.
- Serveasaknowledgeableandavailableresourceoninfectioncontrolpracticesand policies.
- Developandmaintaininfectioncontrolstandardsmeetingregulatory guidelines.

Qualifications
- Currentlicenseorcertificationasamedicaltechnologist,clinicallaboratoryscientist, physician, or registered nurse.
- Minimumofabachelor'sdegreeinahealthcare field.
- 1yearexperienceinaclinicalsettinginfieldof practice.
- Preferred:CIC Certification.
- Trainingininfectioncontroland/or epidemiology.
- Preferred:experienceinhospitalinfectioncontrol practice.
- Completedpost-secondaryeducationinahealth-relatedfieldincludingbutnotlimited to medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.
