Job DetailsJob Location: Modesto, CA 95355Salary Range: $25.00 - $29.00 Hourly                                   ORTHO DENTAL ASSISTANT OAP                                                 POSITION DESCRIPTION   Reports To:            Practice Manager Position Status:       Non-exempt The Role The primary duty of the Ortho Dental Assistant II is to assist the Orthodontist in the overall delivery of oral care as well as work independently to provide outstanding patient care. The Ortho Dental Assistant II will be an integral part of the patient care team by consistently delivering the most memorable and fun service experience possible for every patient, every day! The Essential Job Elements • Prepare office with daily opening and closing duties • Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols • Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting and seating patient  • Take digital x-rays • Educate parents about oral hygiene and their child’s oral health  • Hand off patient at check -out • Complete care calls and thank you cards • Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory  • Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board) • Maintain safe and clean working environment • Other duties as assigned QualificationsDesired Profile/Background • Must have current and active CPR certification • Must have Dental Assistant Certification – required • Infection Control Certificate – required • Radiation Certificate – required • Orthodontic Assistant Permit - required • Completion of KCDO competency assessment • Upbeat personality is a MUST • Loves working with children • Patient focused, team player • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail • Knowledge of Dentrix a plus • Travel to other office locations as required
