Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate - Modesto, CA 95350Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 HourlyPREREQUISITES High school diploma or GED. One year experience as a delivery driver. Outstanding safety record. Valid California driver license with driving record that meets company criteria. Pass DOT physical. Wear safety toe footwear. Able to lift 50 pounds. JOB DUTIES Transport and deliver well in accordance with a schedule, including emergency, rush deliveries or pick- ups that require overtime. Verify count and condition of transported items, reporting any damage as applicable. Assist in loading and unloading freight as required. Secure loads properly. Assure loads are within weight limits. Operate truck in a safe manner. Perform daily truck inspection and report any defects to your supervisor. Maintain and operate vehicles in a manner that projects positive company image to customers and the general public. Maintain a good safe driving record. Ensure good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and by acting in a courteous, professional manner. Observe all safety procedures and use proper PPE. Use and check email daily. Perform other duties as directed. EQUIPMENT USE Delivery truck, hoists, tie downs, forklift, pallet jack, computer, printer/scanner/copier/fax and telephone. WORK HOURS AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS Monday – Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; overtime, weekends and holidays as required. On-call may be required. WORKING CONDITIONS Delivery truck, shop, various plants and office environment. ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED Ability to interact professionally with customers effectively and promote positive company image.
