We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting new product launches and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations. This role combines technical leadership and project execution, with a strong emphasis on plastic injection molding and tooling, a critical part of our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings deep injection molding expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead teams and deliver capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

(40%) Equipment Implementation & Injection Molding Process Improvement

 

•    Lead the implementation of new and replacement equipment, including robotics, conveyors, and assembly systems

•    Own troubleshooting and resolution of complex manufacturing issues, with a focus on injection molding processes and tooling performance•    Evaluate and improve molding processes, tooling, materials, and plant layouts

•    Drive safety improvements across equipment and processes

•    Train operations and maintenance teams on new equipment and process changes

 

(25%) Project Management & Capital Execution

 

•    Develop business cases, secure approvals, and lead capital projects from concept through startup

•    Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and resources•    Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Finance

•    Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of equipment and process improvements

 

(15%) Productivity & Continuous Improvement

 

•    Identify and implement opportunities to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency

•    Introduce and scale new manufacturing technologies, including automation•    Drive labor efficiency improvements through process optimization and tooling enhancements

 

(10%) New Product Introduction (NPI) & R&D Support

 

•    Support development of manufacturing processes for new products, with a focus on design for manufacturability in injection molding

•    Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and standards

•    Partner with Finance to ensure accurate product costing

 

(10%) Day-to-Day Manufacturing Support

 

•    Provide hands-on engineering support for production issues and downtime reduction

•    Partner with maintenance and operations to improve equipment reliability and performance

 

 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field

•    6–9+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering•    Experience with plastic injection molding and/or tooling

•    Strong hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability

•    Proven experience managing capital projects

•    Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing setting

•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD

 

 

Preferred Experience

•    Experience with injection molding tooling, validation, and process optimization

•    Experience implementing automation (robotics, integrated systems)

•    Background in high-volume manufacturing
