Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, MogadoreĀ 

Overview:Ā 

This role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager andĀ is responsible forĀ driving long‑term asset performance and reliability through data‑driven analysis and preventive and predictive strategies. The roleĀ leadsĀ planning, scheduling, andĀ coordinatingĀ preventative, predictive, and regular maintenance work, and performs analysis of work‑order information, project demands, and maintenance execution toĀ identifyĀ opportunities to improve processes. The position is accountable forĀ maintainingĀ SAP, training employees on SAP, and ensuring thatĀ requiredĀ inspections are completed and documented onĀ a timelyĀ basis. This position also activelyĀ participatesĀ in activities related to maintenance and reliability excellence, including root‑cause failure analysis and procedure standardization.Ā Ā 

Job Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Create integrated maintenance work plans and schedules for supervisors and the maintenance team, covering PM activities, project work, and non‑emergency repairs.Ā 
  • Ensure all work orders and maintenance log items are reviewed, entered, and closed in SAP, with complete andĀ accurateĀ supporting documentation.Ā 
  • Deliver SAP maintenance training for maintenance and operations personnel.Ā 
  • Conduct field walk‑throughs toĀ identifyĀ and document job requirements, scope, and procedures.Ā 
  • Collaborate with the maintenance manager and supervisor to scheduleĀ manpower, resources, and job priorities.Ā 
  • Support PSM activities related to job planning and scheduling, ensuringĀ timelyĀ completion of action items and proper documentation in SAP/CMMS.Ā 
  • AssistĀ the condition monitoring program for the site, ensuringĀ accurateĀ data collection for vibration, oil analysis, thermography, and other predictive technologies.Ā 
  • Analyze reliability and failure data to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.Ā 
  • Participate inĀ Root Cause Analysis (RCA) andĀ methodologies such as FMEA and Bad Actor Management to prevent recurrence.Ā 
  • Ensure up‑to‑date equipment criticality assessment, review it regularly, and ensure changes are accurately reflected in theĀ siteĀ CMMS.Ā 
  • Develop and review maintenance and inspection strategies, Equipment Based Practices (EBPs), and relevant standards based on equipment criticality and risk,Ā including strengthening basic PM routines where needed to address recurring issues and improve reliability.Ā 
  • Drive theĀ outputsĀ of RCA, FMEA, Bad Actor analysis, and Criticality study findings into actionable maintenance strategies, includingĀ eliminatingĀ badĀ actors, improving spare parts strategy, enhancing CMMS data, and developing CAPEX proposals for end‑of‑life or non‑serviceable assets.Ā 
  • Monitor and improve asset performance using KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and failure frequency,Ā identifyingĀ trends and improvement opportunities.Ā 
  • Manage andĀ optimizeĀ asset information in the CMMS, ensuring data integrity, updated reliability strategies, and complete asset history.Ā 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve chronic issues and implement long-term reliability improvements across Operations, Maintenance, Stores, and Engineering.Ā 
  • Support internal and external reliability audits and assessments to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and alignment with site standards.Ā 
  • Contribute to training and knowledge sharing on reliability concepts, tools, condition monitoring technologies, and analysis techniques.Ā 

Qualifications:Ā 

This safety critical positionĀ is responsible forĀ long‑term reliability strategy through analysis of equipment history, failure trends, and preventive/predictive maintenance needsĀ whileĀ leading theĀ maintenanceĀ planningĀ effortsĀ to improve maintenance work efficiency and reduce costs.Ā ThisĀ roleĀ alsoĀ supportsĀ withinĀ the Maintenance WorkflowĀ byĀ developingĀ detailed job plans to plan,Ā andĀ scheduleĀ andĀ collaborate in theĀ coordination ofĀ all routine and shutdown maintenance work. The job plans must fully satisfy theĀ notification ofĀ scope and include all material, services,Ā resourcesĀ andĀ appropriate individualĀ operations or tasks. This position mustĀ ensureĀ thatĀ a sufficientĀ amount ofĀ work is planned toĀ maintainĀ plant reliability.Ā 

  • Associate in Applied Science degreeĀ or aĀ Bachelor’s DegreeĀ preferred.Ā 
  • 5-7 years of plant maintenance experienceĀ with exposure to reliability practices and asset‑performance improvement.Ā 
  • 2-3 years of experience as a maintenance planner using CMMS (SAP preferred)Ā 
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a maintenance environmentĀ 
  • Experience in a union environment preferredĀ 
  • Experience working in a HPWPĀ 
  • Supervisory/People Management ExperienceĀ 
  • SAP Super USER desired though a solid understanding of CMMS/SAPĀ is required toĀ be successfulĀ in theĀ position,Ā including the ability to analyze work‑order data to drive reliability improvements.Ā 
  • Experience with reliability strategy methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, Bad Actor management, preventive/predictive optimization, and equipment criticality assessment to support long‑term asset performance improvement.Ā
