The Cost Analyst will support effective cost accounting processes, systems, and reporting while partnering closely with purchasing, operations, inventory, capital investments, accounts payable, and other key functions. They will also provide financial insight and guidance to improve cost management, strengthen processes, and support overall business performance.

 
What You’ll do:   
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including production and inventory variance analysis.
  • Review inventory valuation and reporting to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for inventory, accounts payable, fixed assets, and other accounts.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including additions and disposals, and coordinate periodic verification.
  • Monitor machine and aftermarket margins, review costs and bills of materials, and ensure pricing and costing remain accurate.
  • Review Engineering Change Notices and assess their impact on costs and margins.
  • Maintain effective internal controls over inventory, expenditures, and financial reporting.
  • Review ERP processes and costing rules and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Assist with forecasting, annual budgeting, and audit activities.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall financial performance

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, with a major in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance or related or a related business function. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems with the ability to adapt to new tools as needed.
  • Effective time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications

$67,000 - $79,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
