What we do:

SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and sleep

plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America.

Summary

The right candidate will:

· Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of

metals.

· Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication.

· Record measurements, record pertinent information as required.

· Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal

· Plasma arc cutting

· Air carbon arc cutting

· Pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading

· Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch, and cut off wheel

· Set up and operate all welding machines, be able to do basic troubleshooting

· Set up and operate all machines in the fabrication area, be able to do basic troubleshooting

What you’ll need:

· Must have GED or High school Diplomas

· Basic knowledge of mechanical applications

· Follow instructions and established procedures.

· Read and interpret prints, including welding prints
