We are recruiting for an experienced Insurance Service Agent to join our agency team and help drive continued exceptional service to the community. This role is based at our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. 

The Insurance Service Agent provides exceptional member service to existing and new policy holders aligning with the Pathfinder culture of the credit union. We have a successful and busy insurance business, so we are looking for someone with a service-oriented demeanor and a detail-oriented work style. 

We are hiring for either a Service Agent (2 plus years of experience) or a Senior Service Agent (5+ years of experience.) Title and compensation will be based on experience. 

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Provides exceptional service to members and potential clients on all inquiries including, but not limited to requests for policy changes, coverage or billing questions, claims questions or inquiries on existing policies
  • Documents all member interactions and requests completely and accurately
  • Obtains signatures on new business policies and processes new business files checking for coverage accuracy, forms and signatures, correct billing information and completion of post issuance forms and requests
  • Thoroughly reviews existing members policies and periodically shops around with carriers for best pricing, offering the option to rewrite with another carrier if beneficial to the member
  • Conducts all transactions in accordance with State Insurance laws, Agency and IHMVCU policy.

The successful candidate should have following skills/qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Property and Casualty license
  • Exceptional member service, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated professional oral and written communications, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Known to be reliable, dependable and responsible in all situations

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity to do things such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
