Join our team as an NSCU Nurse! Our Level II Neonatal Special Care Unit provides specialized care for neonates beginning at 30 weeks gestation across our Moline and Bettendorf campuses. Our highly trained team follows AWHONN guidelines and provides consistent, high-quality care between both locations. As a closed division, floating is limited to other Maternal Child areas within Moline and Bettendorf.

Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs, provide education, and coordinate referrals to ensure continuity of care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, clinical expertise, and evidence-based practice.
- Monitor patient conditions, apply critical thinking skills, and make independent clinical judgments to support positive patient outcomes.
- Accurately and promptly document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Delegate and coordinate patient care activities while providing guidance and support to other healthcare team members.
- Promote patient safety and education by utilizing age-appropriate teaching strategies, preventing errors and infections, and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma from an RN program.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
- Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must possess and maintain ACLS
