Responsibilities

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) -Part-Time 7a-3:30pm with rotating weekends

The Meadows Psychiatric Center聽is a 119 bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs which span the entire continuum of care. The beautiful 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside of State College in Central PA. The Meadows provides comprehensive care to children through adults.

LPN Role/Responsibilities:

  • The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
  • The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
  • Responsible for communicating patient treatment response, emotional and behavioral changes, milieu dynamics and other pertinent information.
  • Administers medication under the supervision of Charge RN.
  • Contributes to ensuring the environment is safe for both patients and staff members through the use of safety rounds, patient flows, and milieu management techniques.
