Scope
The Mechanical Technician II performs planned maintenance work and typically reports to a supervisor.
Responsibilities

Assist mechanical engineers with planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, including engines, instruments, controls, and machines.
Assist with preparing proposals and cost estimates.
Actively participate in all required job-safety processes and tools.
Review job packs before beginning work.
Identify safety hazards and ensure they are removed or mitigated before work begins.
Execute maintenance work according to the approved plan.
Record equipment and maintenance history in the Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheets, and other required systems.
Provide feedback to the Execution FLS regarding potential job-pack improvements.
Request required permits and notify the supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time.

Qualifications

Appropriate mechanical certification or equivalent professional experience.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Effective team player who can work collaboratively without direct authority and is willing to assist others.
Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

A 30-, 45-, or 60-minute meet-and-greet conducted by Zoom or in person.
