We are seeking a skilled Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of aluminum components for our world-class offshore fishing catamarans. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision, quality, and exceptional workmanship.


Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG/GTAW welding and fabrication on aluminum parts and structures
  • Operate bending, cutting, and sanding equipment, including band saws, benders, and sanders
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
  • Inspect and verify welds to meet Freeman Boatworks’ quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG)
  • Experience working with anodized aluminum pipe preferred
  • Prior marine welding or fabrication experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with standard hand and power tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
