Position Summary

Sea Fox Boat Company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Cut & Grind Technician to support our boat manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for cutting, grinding, trimming, and preparing fiberglass components to meet production specifications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, works safely, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings

  • Cut, grind, and trim fiberglass parts to specification

  • Use hole saws, sanders, grinders, and other hand and power tools

  • Accurately read and use a tape measure

  • Maintain production pace to ensure timely delivery of parts to the manufacturing line

  • Safely get on and off boat decks and hulls as required

  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized

  • Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping guidelines

  • Work professionally and cooperatively with team members

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull throughout the shift

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to work in a covered warehouse environment with varying temperatures

  • Comfortable working on boat decks and hull surfaces

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Successfully complete a drug screening and background check

  • Be comfortable operating power tools, hand tools, sanders, and grinders

  • Demonstrate the ability to use a hole saw

  • Accurately read a tape measure

  • Be dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Previous fiberglass or boat manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.

 

$18/hr-$23/hr training, then conversion to piece rate pay
