Job DetailsJob Location: CAMP ROYALL - Moncure, NC 27559Position Type: OtherJob Category: FacilitiesMake a Difference Every Day: Join us as a Maintenance Technician!    The Autism Society of North Carolina is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to help keep our Moncure-area properties safe, functional, and welcoming. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs for facilities, grounds, tools, and vehicles, with occasional statewide travel to support program properties. You’ll also help maintain accurate work logs, schedules, and Help Desk ticket updates to keep projects moving smoothly.  What You’ll Do:   Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for ASNC-owned and leased properties, including facilities, grounds, tools, and vehicles. Monitor and maintain key facility systems and equipment, including HVAC units, water heaters, electrical systems, and other mechanical equipment. Complete routine facility walk-throughs and annual electrical inspections to identify repair needs, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities. Respond to Property Management Help Desk tickets promptly and professionally, keeping maintenance logs, schedules, and records up to date. Purchase and organize maintenance supplies, maintain the assigned work vehicle, and submit coded receipts according to approval procedures. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, service providers, inspectors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to support property and facility needs. Use sound judgment and project management skills to troubleshoot issues, recommend repairs or replacements, and support annual budget planning. Travel statewide and respond to urgent maintenance needs, including after-hours emergencies, while supporting ASNC’s mission and team priorities.  Why You’ll Love Working Here:   Medical, Vision, Dental insurance  Paid Accrued Time Off 10 sick days, 10 vacation days, 3 wellness days, 12 paid holidays per year Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401k with matching, after meeting eligibility requirements Short-term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life insurance  Other elective benefits Our culture: We’re more than a workplace—we’re a community. Supervisors are here to help you grow, and your contributions truly matter.    What We’re Looking For:  Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; equivalent experience or training may be considered. At least two years of related maintenance, facilities, construction, or trade experience preferred. Working knowledge of multiple trades, such as carpentry, general construction, HVAC, painting, fencing, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems. Ability to read and follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and apply practical judgment to solve routine maintenance issues. Comfort communicating clearly with staff, customers, clients, vendors, and small groups. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments across offices, grounds, and various facility settings. Not sure you meet every qualification?
