Position Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating the upkeep, continuous improvement and repair of all molds through the training, assigning of jobs to Mold Maintenance Techs, and tracking of all mold maintenance work orders. This position provides a positive, safe working environment by being required to maintain a clean, organized work area, provide input to other departments concerning molding capabilities and concerns for new products and product modifications.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Possess good mechanical aptitude and basic hand tool experience
  • Be able to weld steel, stainlesssteeland aluminiummolds
  • Be competent in the use of hand and power tools in the refinishing and repair ofmolds
  • Possess the basic tools, physicalskillsand discipline to use specific prescribed methods and procedures
  • Understands the importance ofaccurate, legible documentation and follows prescribed methods and procedures during work. This documentation may be in printed or electronic format
  • Activelyparticipatesin necessary meetings and GEMBA boards.  

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)preferred.
  • Six months to one year of welding experience.
  • One to three years of working experience related to manufacturing.
  • Abilitytowritereports, emails, and procedure manuals such as training materials. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions when correspondingwith groupsof managers, employees,andpeers.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to apply the concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Associate must be able to complete a welding test in either steel or aluminium to qualify for the position. This test uses written instructions, requires measuringskillsand requires a demonstration of good workmanship.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal withseveralabstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability tomulti-task, follow-through on assigned tasks to completion, and work with limited oversight and supervision. Ability to develop working relationships with a variety of people. Mustpossessa strongattention to detailandstrong senseof urgency. 
  • Mustmaintainregular and acceptable attendance at such level as isdeterminedin the attendance policystatedin the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employerdeterminesis necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Working Conditions:

May be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area.  Schedule is Monday through Friday, normal business hours.  Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear.  Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or carrying 20 – 100 lbs. 

Position Location:

Position is onsite Sunday evening (10:45pm – 7:15am pm) and not remote eligible. 

Compensation:

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards.  The salary range for Monett, MO is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.

There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
