Gas Distribution Foreman

Location: North Louisiana (Travel Required)

Job Summary

The Gas Distribution Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in the completion of directional drilling and related gas distribution activities. This role includes supervising tasks, ensuring safety compliance, resolving equipment issues, and maintaining high-quality work standards. The Foreman must maintain a professional demeanor, arrive on time, and ensure productivity across the team. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Show up to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Complete and discuss a thorough Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to each task.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide quality customer service.
  • Plan, organize, and delegate daily work activities within the crew.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed by the crew.
  • Properly lift tools, objects, and equipment of varying weights.
  • Safely and effectively operate all directional drilling equipment.
  • Complete all required customer paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ensure the overall quality of work performed by the crew meets or exceeds standards and expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with city utility departments.
  • Identify potential problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Travel frequently for work assignments, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Responsible for bringing and maintaining necessary personal tools and protective equipment suitable for fieldwork, including but not limited to safety gear, work gloves, boots, and tools relevant to directional drilling and gas distribution tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience in construction and/or gas distribution
  • Prior directional drilling, drill locating, utility line locating, and fusion experience required.
  • Ability to read project drawings
  • Valid driver's / operator license required
  • Knowledge of underground utilities
  • Ability to travel throughout the state as required
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Ability to follow safety and quality ACI Procedures
