Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the development of Logistics and Transportation plans for assigned customer plant(s) and prepare bid responses. Plays a key role in achieving company objectives and contributes to identifying, analyzing and developing value-added supply chain solutions.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Oversee tactical and operational planning of the inbound and outbound network to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare internal communications and presentations related to KPIs, facilitating data-driven decision-making
  • Work in conjunction with the command and control group to handle complaints and ensure support plans are in place to maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Perform carrier and customer training in TMS portal, fostering operational efficiency and excellence. Assist in monitoring loads with TMS and communicate non-conformances in service to ensure timely resolutions
  • Manage all freight lanes and develop a waterfall tendering network to optimize transportation resources
  • Responsible for transportation budget and variance descriptions, ensuring financial accountability and transparency
  • Work with Freight Bill Audit and Payment (FBAP) for carrier assessorial charges, fostering strong vender relationships and cost control measures.
  • Act as a liaison between operations, service providers, customers, and customer plant locations to ensure seamless communication and exceed service level expectations
  • Maintain and update all SOPs and work instructions for assigned customers to ensure compliance and operational excellence
  • Manage and maintain customer KPIs for weekly, monthly, quarterly reviews, ensuring alignment with service level agreements

SCOPE & IMPACT: 

This position oversees the strategic planning and optimization of transportation networks for assigned customer plant(s), ensuring cost effectiveness and operational efficiency. By coordinating stakeholders and resolving issues promptly, they maintain strong customer relationships and drive satisfaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • TMS Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Prior Management of P&L
  • Prior Utilization of Business Intelligence tools
  • Home Delivery or Final Mile Experience
  • Up to 20% travel
