Position Details
- Position Title: Soft Contents Manager
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Monroe, LA
- Pay Range: $50,000-60,000 annually + commission
Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operations within the soft contents division. This role manages the pack-out, sorting, inventory, cleaning coordination, processing, finishing, packaging, and storage of soft contents removed from customer homes or businesses during restoration projects. This person plays a key role in protecting customer belongings, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality handling of contents, and delivering a high level of customer service throughout the contents process. The Soft Contents Manager is expected to lead by example, organize workflow efficiently, supervise team members, and ensure work is completed thoroughly, accurately, and with care.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the soft contents division
- Supervise the handling of soft contents from initial pack-out through final packaging and storage
- Manage the sorting, categorizing, labeling, and inventorying of customer belongings
- Ensure contents are processed accurately and handled with care to avoid loss or damage
- Coordinate the cleaning and processing of clothing, linens, bedding, shoes, and other soft goods
- Inspect finished contents to ensure quality standards are met before packaging or storage
- Maintain organized, accurate, and accessible inventory records
- Ensure all items are properly documented, tracked, and stored in designated locations
- Oversee packaging standards for cleaned and processed contents
- Coordinate storage and movement of soft contents within the warehouse or designated storage areas
- Work closely with production, warehouse, office, and project management teams to ensure smooth communication and job coordination
- Help ensure customer belongings are returned in an organized, professional, and presentable manner
- Train, supervise, and hold soft contents team members accountable to division expectations
- Establish and maintain workflows that promote efficiency, quality, and consistency
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and materials needed for the soft contents division
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in all soft contents work areas
- Support a positive customer experience by ensuring belongings are handled with respect, urgency, and attention to detail

Education and Experience
- Prior experience in contents, restoration, laundry services, textile care, garment handling, or a related field preferred
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Retail clothing sales or apparel handling experience is helpful
- Experience managing workflows, organizing inventory, or supervising detail-oriented production work is helpful
- Familiarity with laundering, fabric care, folding, sorting, and garment presentation is beneficial
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer.
- Ability to type, handle documents, and operate office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms; occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling to access files or supplies.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via electronic communication.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
