Job DetailsJob Location: Monroeville Freightliner Inc. - Monroeville , OH 44847Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 Base+Commission/monthSign on bonus offered for an experienced Truck Buyer Great Lakes Truck Centers, an authorized Freightliner and Western Star dealer, is seeking an experienced and motivated Used Truck Sales Manager to lead and grow our used truck sales operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial truck sales, truck acquisition, inventory management, and customer relationship development. This individual will be responsible for sourcing quality used trucks, managing inventory, and driving sales performance to meet dealership goals.  Possibility of Hybrid role. Key Responsibilities Purchase and acquire used commercial trucks through auctions, trade-ins, fleet contacts, and other sourcing channels. Evaluate truck condition, market value, and resale potential to make sound purchasing decisions. Manage used truck inventory levels, pricing strategies, and merchandising. Develop and maintain relationships with fleet customers, owner-operators, wholesalers, and industry contacts. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives. Work closely with finance, service, and parts departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Monitor market trends, truck values, and competitor activity. Negotiate purchases and sales transactions professionally and profitably. Ensure inventory is properly displayed, marketed, and represented across digital and physical sales channels. Maintain accurate records, reports, and forecasting related to inventory and sales performance. Previous truck buying/acquisition experience required. Strong knowledge of Freightliner, Western Star, and other Class 6-8 commercial trucks preferred. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing inventory profitability. Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to evaluate truck specifications, condition, and market demand. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with dealership management systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
