Description
Tague Lumber is seeking a skilled and motivated In-House Carpenter to join our team. This is a hands-on, field-based role supporting the upkeep, repair, and improvement of our facilities as well as select customer locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well independently, and enjoys a variety of carpentry and light construction work.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll partner closely with each location’s General Manager and play a key role in maintaining and improving our facilities. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, appearance, and functionality of our properties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general carpentry, repair, and renovation work across multiple sitesÂ
- Completing finish carpentry, framing, trim work, and installation projectsÂ
- Installing and repairing windows, doors, kitchens, flooring, and sidingÂ
- Handling drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenanceÂ
- Supporting routine upkeep of building systems and facility infrastructureÂ
- Assisting with material and supply ordering for assigned projectsÂ
- Traveling to Tague Lumber locations and customer sites throughout the Greater Philadelphia areaÂ

Required skills and experience:
- Strong background in carpentry and general construction workÂ
- Experience with:Â
- Drywall repair and paintingÂ
- Door and window installation/repairÂ
- Kitchen installationÂ
- Trim and finish carpentryÂ
- Flooring installationÂ
- Framing and basic structural workÂ
- Exterior siding repairsÂ
- Light electrical and plumbing workÂ
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionÂ
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailÂ
- Excellent communication and organizational skillsÂ
- Solid mathematical skills for measuring and layout workÂ
- Strong customer service and professional interaction skillsÂ
- Ability to manage time effectively and work extended hours when neededÂ
- Willingness to travel locally as requiredÂ
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license requiredÂ
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
