- Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
- The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.
- Identify each patient prior to exam, utilizing two patient identifiers according to hospital policy.
- Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
- Perform portable X-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and the emergency room.
- Provide a lead protective shield for patients, reducing radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
- Accept all assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator regarding room assignment and work to be completed.
- Enter data utilizing electronic medical records.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
- Maintain policies and procedures as they relate to HIPAA compliance.
- Perform any and all other duties assigned.
Job Requirements:Â Â
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technician.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
