• Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for promoting and restoring patient health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families and supervising assigned team members. 

Job Requirements: 

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing. 
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as an RN in Med/Surg setting
• Current valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license. 
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (obtainable within the first three months of employment). 
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (obtainable within the first three months of employment). 
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training. 
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment). 
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway including us of mechanical ventilation. 
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing 
• Experience with Epic. 
• 1+ year of experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care Unit

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
