Title: Workshop Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Salary: $38,000
Employment Status: Full-time, non-exempt

The Role

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Custom Production Services, the Workshop Supervisor and Backup Driver will play a crucial role in training and supporting individuals with disabilities who perform production work. This is a full-time position that combines supervisory responsibilities with occasional driving duties. All offers are contingent on a successful background check and clean driving record.

Essential Functions

Trains program participants with disabilities in the performance of work activities.
Provides overall supervision to participant floor workers.
Back-up driver making deliveries to customers as needed using agency box truck
Observes and evaluates participants’ work daily and performs quality control of completed work.
Develops suitable techniques to help resolve difficulties manifested by participants on the job.
Consults with the JVS Counselors about participants who are experiencing problems related to the performance of their work and makes periodic reports to the Counselors.
Submits comments on quarterly participant reports relating to observed work activities and behaviors.
Assists with maintaining payroll and attendance records on participants as needed.
Assists in developing and implementing work-related downtime activities.
Assists with overall building maintenance tasks as requested.
Performs other duties not calling for materially different skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in providing services to people who have disabilities is a plus.
Microsoft Office experience
Experience driving a non-cdl box truck is a plus
