Job Description
The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for part-time adjunct instructors in the Economics Department to teach undergraduate-level . Courses are offered in person on campus. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
Responsibilities:
Teach one or two undergraduate courses in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
Review course materials and coordinate course activities with the course lead instructor.
Prepare and deliver course content aligned with departmental and course learning goals and student outcomes
Provide students with timely, appropriate, and specific feedback.
Collaborate with departmental faculty and staff as needed to ensure instructional quality.
Comply with university policies and procedures, including timely submission of grades and course syllabi.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. Teaching experience in specific areas of Economics, particularly Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, is required. Effective candidates should demonstrate a clear approach to engaging students and conveying complex economic concepts.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, evidenced by peer and student evaluations; have experience and/or interest in teaching and curricular. Development in on-line or hybrid formats; and have corporate or consulting experience in US organizations and an interest in building relationships with business partners and other external stakeholders.
