Production Supervisor

Overview

The Pictsweet Company is looking for a production supervisor. The Production Supervisor will supervises and coordinates the activities of production workers engaged in receiving, sorting, preparing, and processing vegetables for freezing.

Responsibilities

• Assigns workers to work stations and issues instructions
• Directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Coordinates flow of work between workstations.
• Informs workers of production changes.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Performs activities of workers supervised.
• Enforces company policy.
• Responsible for employee safety.
• Enforces safety rules and regulations.
• Trains new employees on their job responsibilities.
• May administer discipline under the direction of the Human Resources Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Must possess excellent people skills.
• Must be a good communicator.
• Knowledgeable of general safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to motivate personnel.
• Goal oriented.

OTHER: 

• Employee must be able to work rotating shifts.
