Certified Nursing Assistant (PM) - Westland House (Full time)

Job Description:

Under the leadership of the Director, Assistant Director, Nursing Manager and the direct supervision of the RN, the certified nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP, Westland House, and Hospice of the Central Coast if applicable.

Experience:
Three years of experience as a CNA is preferred. Understanding of medical terminology is required.

Education:
High school diploma, G.E.D. or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
State of California C.N.A. certification required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required. Individuals assigned to drive the Westland House van must possess a valid California driver’s license.

Other:
For individuals assigned to drive the Westland House van, in addition to a valid CA driver’s license, the following are required: an acceptable driving record of three points or less and participation in the DMV pull-notice program.
