Job Description:

The Staff Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for supporting the mission of the hospital by providing quality speech therapy services. The Speech/Language Pathologist applies evidence, knowledge, and skills to positively affect swallowing, cognitive and expressive skills, and life satisfaction of patients of all ages who have impairments of aural, oral and brain functions resulting from injury, disease or other causes. The Speech/Language Pathologist is a qualified individual who diagnoses, prognoses, prescribes for and/or remediates speech and/or language and/or orofacial myofunction disorders. The Speech/ Language Pathologist interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals involved in the care of the patient. 

Experience

SLP experience with patient populations that include cognitive and /or swallowing disorders preferred.

Education

Masters of Science in Speech/Language Pathology or Audiology. Doctorate degree preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

California State Speech Language Pathologist license. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.87
