Superior Hardwoods, as part of the Baillie Group, is hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:  

  • Coordination and prioritization of a maintenance team addressing all daily maintenance and projects on site.
  • Further development and oversight of current Preventative Maintenance program to increase up time and productivity.
  • Daily communication with peers and superiors on status of repairs and projects.
  • To provide yearly budgets for all departments and once approved by the officers, operate at or below the budget for all responsible departments.
  • Ensure all employees in your responsible areas are following all policies, with a heavy emphasis on Safety.
  • Submit and control all Maintenance related purchases.

 

Expectations:

  • Minimum 45 hours per week.
  • Supportive of the leadership, positive attitude, follow and enforce all company policies.
  • Manage and take ownership of above responsibilities. 
  • Formally review all direct reports at least twice per year
  • Execute all directives and initiatives.
  • Operate within cost and budget objectives and targets.
